Lock models or objects

You can lock models or object so that they cannot be edited by other users. When models are locked, the objects used in the models are also locked. As long as the lock is enabled, only the user who enabled it can edit the locked items. Locking can be useful, for example, to perform a review.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Click Application launcher Application launcher > Models and objects Models and objects.

  2. Navigate to the group that contains the content you want to lock. When you select the group, its contents are displayed in the details view.

  3. To lock a model or an object, move the mouse pointer to the row of the item and click More More > Lock Lock.

    To lock multiple models or objects, enable the check boxes for the relevant items and click Lock Lock above the navigation bar.

You locked one or more items.

  • If a user locks a model, the model cannot be edited by other users. Other users cannot move the model to another group and they cannot move, delete, or insert objects in the open model. However, in the repository, other users can change the attributes of the objects used in the model, such as the name.

  • If a user locks an object, other users can no longer edit the attributes of the object or move it to another group.

To unlock models and objects, click Unlock Unlock.
