Import/Export models

You can import ARIS Express models and BPMN diagrams and export BPMN processes.

Import ARIS Express model

  1. Click Application launcher Application launcher > Models and objects Models and objects.

  2. Select the group into which you want to import the model.

  3. Click Import Import > Import ARIS Express model. The corresponding dialog opens.

  4. Click Select file. The File Upload dialog is displayed.

  5. Select the import file and click Open. The file is checked and if it is valid, the model is imported.

The model is imported from ARIS Express and is available in the selected group.

Import BPMN diagram

Import diagrams of type BPMN collaboration diagram (BPMN 2.0), BPMN process diagram (BPMN 2.0), Enterprise BPMN collaboration diagram, and Enterprise BPMN process diagram.

  1. Click Application launcher Application launcher > Models and objects Models and objects.

  2. Select the group into which you want to import the model.

  3. Click Import Import > Import BPMN diagram. The corresponding dialog opens.

  4. Click Select file. The File Upload dialog is displayed.

  5. Select the import file and click Open. The file is checked and if it is valid, the model is imported.

The BPMN model is imported and is available in the selected group.

Export BPMN diagram

  1. Click Application launcher Application launcher > Models and objects Models and objects.

  2. Select the group in which the BPMN diagram you want to export is stored.

  3. Click Export Export > BPMN export. The selected BPMN diagram is checked. For findings that do not comply with the BPMN 2.0 specifications, a dialog displays specific warnings.

  4. Click OK. The save dialog opens.

  5. Select a folder to save the BPMN file.

  6. Click Save.

The BPMN file is saved and can be opened by another program or imported into another group or database.
